DANCE YEAR Our dance season begins in September and runs through the middle of June, culminating with our annual dance recital (date TBA June). All students have the opportunity to participate in the event. Once recital costume orders are placed, dancers are expected to complete the dance year and participate in the annual recital. Classes are closely modeled around the school calendar with breaks for: Thanksgiving, Christmas vacation week, April vacation week & Memorial Day.
CLASS CANCELLATIONS Weather related cancellations will be posted on News Channel 8 station and web. http://www.wtnh.com//subindex/weather/storm_closings (under “events”) *Make up classes will be offered if 2 or more classes are cancelled in a calendar month.
TUITION Class tuition is based on an annual fee, but for convenience, tuition can be paid in monthly, half year or full year increments Annual registration is $25 per family. For those who choose to pay monthly, tuition is due upon the 1st of every month. *A $10 late charge will be applied to late payments after the 10th of the month. Tuition is non-refundable and does not vary in case of illness, vacation or other activities such as sports.
STUDENT DRESS CODE Students are expected to follow class dress code as outlined below: *Please have hair pulled back and away from dancer’s face.

Ballet & Contemporary:Leotard and Tights (any color or style) - “Foot Undeez” and Ballet Shoes
Intermediate Ballet / Beginner Pointe:Leotard and Tights (any color or style) - Ballet Shoes & Pointe Shoes
Hip-Hop & Jazz: Dance Pants and Tank Top OR Leotard and Tights - Jazz Shoes
Intermediate Hip-Hop & Jazz: Dance Pants and Tank Top OR Leotard and Tights - Hip-Hop Dance Sneakers Dance attire may be purchased at: La Luna Dancewear - Southbury
STUDIO SAFETY Safety is a main priority at CanDance Studio. Please remind your dancers to follow studio rules and respect fellow dancers.
Street shoes are not allowed on the studio dance floor.
Those in the waiting area are expected to respect studio property and wait quietly so dancers are not distracted.
